I need to switch to Chrome I think. Ive heard so many things about it now. I think im just scared of change lol.

  11. @Lorrie – OMG! You HAVE to switch to Chrome. IE doesn’t even compare. It ALWAYS freezes, basically, it sucks!
Firefox is good, but no browser is as fast as Chrome.
Try it out! I swear to God, I will never stop using it, if it continues good the way it is!

  12. Google Chrome sounds promising. I heard a lot of positive feedback from my friends who have used it. I think I’m going to give it a try and see how it goes…

I used to use firefox, but we shifted to chrome. Now, I use chrome for personal manners and use firefox for seo work.

  14. Unfortunately, chrome is not yet common in our country. It is still windows and mac that are used. This is a new innovation of google to compete. It will be delightful if there is good update about chrome from users. The application store, when it becomes successful, will spark interest to windows and mac creators.

  15. I heard that Google’s Chrome is all set and ready for battling some of its rivals through a new Application Store for Chrome OS users as well as Chrome browsers. As much as I would love to welcome it, I am shocked to see the number of useful applications that are, as a matter of fact available there. It is true that HTML 5 marks the beginning of a new browsing era but I think Chrome application store really need to put some categories onto their products or it would risk an epic FAIL!

  16. “About 2.99 or 3.99 would be the possible price of applications which are following by the Android market.”

This is very interesting, it seems like this price point is a bit higher than the itunes store? Is this in reference to applications related to business, or for games?

The appstore seems to be cluttered with a huge variety of .99 cent apps.

  17. “Furthermore, Google has plan to entertain those web developers with 70% of the revenue from the application. Paid and free two options are there for developer to receive their share.”

Interesting that the 1/3 model seems to be the common one for revenue sharing these days. The app store is modelled this way, adsense is modelled this way, and soon the chrome browser store?

  18. Have been using chrome for 6 months now, love it. And yeah, they need to sort out the quality control on their app store, far to much cheap junk around!

  19. It does seem like their curating process isn’t quite as intensive as apple’s appstore. The appstore only has apps that have passed a through vetting process (sometimes a little bit too through, when developers get their apps thrown out for no apparent reason!)

Google needs to do the same thing if they want to be competitive in this space.

  20. I’ve been following Google’s transition from a search engine company and now moving into a foray of mobile and laptop OS’s. They are doing an amazing job. I hope they continue supporting developers, even though patent trolls like Lodsys get to them. Developers are the true advocates of the mobile push, while the large OS companies build the platform for success.

  21. Google is such a powerhouse. I think just about anything they go into will be successful at least initially. I like the Chrome browser but haven’t looked at apps too much. The Apple iPad app store is stellar. You can find just about anything you want there.
