#6 Toggle Web Developer Toolbar pointless because it just duplicates a feature that already exists in the Web Developer Toolbar extension.

@Bango As far as I can tell this article highlights extensions new to 2010, Firebug, whilst an excellent extension was around in 2005 (?)!

Perhaps before you grade anyone’s web development tools, you should take a look at your own, the W3C sets the worldwide standards for whether your XHTML & CSS are correctly programmed, and this page has 38 Errors, and 23 warnings, so might want to head on over to validator.w3.org and clean it up mate!

I most likely would not have contemplated this was useful two or three years ago, yet it is fascinating how age evolves the way you react to stuff, many thanks for the weblog post it really is great to discover something smart now and then rather than the regular rubbish disguised as blogs and forums over the web. Man, I love that SEO toolbar no.7 in the list, i’ve been looking for something like this for ages. The one i use at the moment only shows the PR but not all the other interesting stuff that its good to be able to know about a website instantly without having to take too much time looking it all up!
Yes this firefox addons/extensions may make a web developers work more easier. But I have found Google chrome and Opera browser has extra built-in facilities for developers.

There’s a few here I really like. I have been using the FF SEO toolbar for awhile now and love all its functions. The #7 SEO Doctor looks like a good add-on to that add-on. I can always use the #5 SaveMemory feature because I constantly get carried away with multiple tabs. #2 Screen Capture looks handy and since its free, why not? There are numerous times when building websites that I need to grab a graphic or photo from the screen. The #4 Address bar Font Enlarger will be a good crutch for my aging eyesight. My order for favorites differ slightly from above, but they are all good for different reasons and applications. Every time Firefox comes up put with an improvement or add-on I am reminded what a superior browser it is.

Wow, this list was great! I loved the save memory add on, it is an excellent tool for those who do a lot of browsing. Thanks for compiling this list!
Another great tool that is along the lines of Screen Capture Elite is called DownloadHelper. You can use it to download any videos, audios etc. It also converts file formats. Excellent and very useful plugin that I use all the time.

Firefox, the best browser, a good assistant to work.
If it was’t for the browser toolbar capabilities of mozilla, chrome is slowly taking it down by overpowering the ability of mozilla in fast conversion of Websites compared to IE. Extensions are still way to go to beat toolbars.
But I have found Google chrome and Opera browser has extra built-in facilities for developers. Yes this firefox addons/extensions may make a web developers work more easier.
Thanks for this great list. I tried SEO Doctor on my site and found a ton of things I need to fix.
I enjoyed every little bit part of it and I will be waiting for the new updates. I am very much pleased with the contents you have mentioned.
I love the memory saver one! I tried it on my old Firefox and boy, did it help. You don’t realize how much those other tabs take up until you pause them!
Great article – I have tried most of these and really like the SEO Doctor and screen apture elite as these both save me plenty of time.
I differ with most people here; I found this post I couldn’t stop until , even though it wasn’t just what I had been searching for, was indeed a great read though. I will instantly take your feed to stay in touch of future updates.
Response to Adrian – I also tried SEO Doctor for the first time and agree that it’s a great time saver
I love Firefox and I use it at home and at work. Some things I do at work require IE and I dislike even doing those things because I have to use something other than Firefox. Add-ons are a great bonus to an already very useful browser. Thanks for the list of seven add-ons I really like the screen capture one I was not aware of before reading this.
The “Save Memory” Firefox add-on could actually come in handy if you happen to use a slow computer where the CPU always is on 90%. I agree though, why isn’t Firebug on the list? It’s a really great add-on for web developers to use. Firefox happens to be one of my favorite web browsers. You get access to thousands of different useful add-ons that are completely free.
Seo doctor seems a really nice add-on for webmasters.
You should include Firebug, one of the best add-ons for Firefox ever.
